Slow Cooker Oats
This is the most basic recipe I know and a good reason to pull out the crockpot all year long. The original recipe had raisins, cinnamon and apples cooked into the oatmeal, which is yummy, but I don’t like eating the same thing everyday, so I striped the recipe down so that each morning I could add what I wanted. For sweetness I like some local maple syrup, a few chopped walnuts for crunch and whatever berries I have in the refrigerator for freshness. This recipe makes enough for me to have oatmeal for the week, or for a family to have one morning.
