Easter
Does everyone who celebrates Easter have a photo like this? I used to host Easter dinner at my home years ago, but now we travel to NY to my mother’s and I’m only responsible for dessert. Even though I don’t host anymore, I still like to decorate the house, mostly Spring-inspired changes that I can keep up for a few weeks.
Easter Dessert Board
I love a board- whether for appetizers, entrees or desserts. It’s just a fun, casual way to eat. This year instead of doing a cake or pie, I’m thinking of traveling with this type of board. It offers everyone a little bit of different sweets, instead of having to commit to a single dessert. Plus I think it will look great on the table. Found the idea on Pinterest here. Thanks Snickerdoodle!
Bath Bombs
I still make an Easter basket for the kids, but they are more curated than when they were little and filled with toys. Bath bombs seems to be popular with all ages and genders, so this year I’m going to try to make some using those plastic eggs you usually fill with candy. Check out Mom Foodie for the recipe
Easter Bunny Treat Bags
I love these bunny bags for Easter. They are simple lunch bags, with a ribbon below the ears and pom pom for a tail. I will fill them with treats for my nieces and nephews and maybe a few friends. Thinking some cute homemade cookies or chocolate dipped pretzels, maybe a gift card. I ❤️ Pinterest for ideas
Split Pea Soup
Need inspiration for those leftovers? This split pea soup with ham is a great way to think beyond the ham sandwich the next day.
Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
This is the simplest of recipes that most people have made at least once in their lives. I think the combination of salty and sweet is perfect and these cute treats are perfect to add to an Easter basket.
Bunny Ear Napkins
With just a few folds you can transform a simple clothe napkin into a sweet detail for your Easter table. Kids will love the treat inside the plastic egg too.
