Salty/Sweet Rosemary Mixed Nuts
I love recipes like this that take a pantry ingredient and elevate it. Just a handful ingredients make these bar nuts hard to put down. Another great holiday recipe or anytime you are making a charcuterie board. I love to give them as gifts too. I put them in a pretty bowl, wrap it up with cellophane and tie a pretty bow. Much more personal than a bottle of wine.
Tips:
If rosemary isn’t your thing, you can use other herbs like thyme or “everything but the bagel”.
You can make a batch of these nuts and store them for another event. Allow them to cool completely before placing in an airtight container. Nuts will stay fresh for about a month.
Salty/Sweet Rosemary Mixed Nuts
Serves 2
PREP 5 minutes
COOK 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup unsalted mixed nuts
1 teaspoon melted butter
1 teaspoon coarsely chopped fresh rosemary
Rounded 1/4 tablespoon dark brown sugar or granulated sugar
Pinch cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, toss nuts with butter, rosemary, sugar, cayenne and salt. Spread the mixture on a rimmed baking sheet, in a single layer.
Bake until golden, about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Serve the nuts warm or at room temperature.
