Hanukkah

We don’t celebrate Hanukkah at our home, but I’ve been lucky enough to be invited for latkes and brisket a few times. I love the idea of looking forward all year to a special family recipe and passing those recipes down to the next generation. Here are some original and shared recipes to celebrate the 8 nights.

Scallion Pancake Latke

Remember this recipe? I love all latkes, but this one is my favorite child.

Hostess Gifts

Need an original hostess gift for the holiday? I think these stamped spreaders are great and chances are your host doesn’t have them yet. Wine is great too!

Betty’s Brisket

Here’s another delicious, slow cooked recipe that oozes comfort in the cold weather. My friend Frank, shared his mother, Betty’s recipe for brisket, along with some tips he has after making it for years. I’ve enjoyed this dish a few times and it’s so tender and delicious. Oh Betty!
