Valentine’s Day Galentine’s Day

I’m undecided how I feel about this holiday. As an adult I think it is unnecessary and overrated, but as a mother I love the opportunity to give a little something to my kids and cook something special for them. When the kids were little I loved helping them make homemade Valentines for their classmates. I’ve always taken the opportunity to give them one each year and it warms my heart to see that they have saved them all safely in a special treasure box.

Heart-Shaped Red Velvet Whoopie Pies

These are so cute and delicious. Not any more difficult than piping circles and you can customize the filling for your little ones.

Pink Señoritas

Holidays are a nice time to mix up a special cocktail.

Heart Garland

I made this garland last year from pages of an old book. It’s just heart shaped hole punches that I glued onto some butcher’s twine. I strung it over our kitchen table and loved it so much I never took it down.

Petit Filet Au Poivre

This just feels fancy. This meal is decadent and worthy of any special occasion. Enjoy!
